The STEM Center’s Black History Month Speaker Panel will focus on disparities in the black community regarding healthcare as well as mental health and wellness. Williams enjoys spending time with her three children. She has a particular interest in health and wellness, preventative care, especially in African American and Latino communities.Ī military veteran and recipient of the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, she has also been an expert contributor in magazines like Esquire, Reader’s Digest, and Healthzette.Ī native Coloradan, she got to Texas as soon as possible and lived in San Antonio for nearly 20 years. She has over 14 years of experience treating patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. Megan Williams is on a mission to help people achieve happy and healthier lives. Students will be eligible to earn experiential learning credit on their Alamo Experience transcript and also will free BHM Swag!ĭr. Join our Black History Month event to hear from Dr. Giveaways include BHM shirts and stickers. Students who participate will earn experiential learning credit. We are hosting Painting with a Twist “We Are In This Together” while talking about the history of Black History Month.
